Beef Patties with Salad

Beef patties with a salad: In this recipe, the patties are served with a vegetable salad, which can be any of your favourite salads. You can also add a dressing of your choosing. Whether it be olive oil, lemon, garlic, mustard, honey – add just any ingredient you want, and you will get a wonderful, satisfying and healthy dish!

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

300g quality minced beef

1 egg

1 small red onion

2 cloves of garlic, crushed

3 tablespoons chopped parsley

1/4 teaspoon black ground pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground chili pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

1/2 teaspoon salt

For the salad: Just make your favourite vegetable salad!

For example, a handful of sweet cherry tomatoes, iceberg lettuce leaves, half a cucumber, a handful of sunflower sprouts and 7 halved black olives.

Instructions:

  1. Set your oven to grill and preheat to 200°C.
  1. Place the onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, chili, ginger and cardamom in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until roughly blended. Add the meat and the egg to the food processor and continue blending until well combined and homogenous.
  1. Line a baking tray with baking parchment. Make small patties from the mixture in the food processor and flatten them slightly (you will end up with about 9 to 14 patties). Place the patties on the baking tray.
  1. Put the tray in the heated oven and bake for about 6-7 minutes on each side. Cut open one patty to make sure it is sufficiently cooked inside.
  1. Remove the patties from the oven and make your favourite salad. Add the patties to the salad, sprinkle with the chosen dressing and enjoy your meal!
