Sirloin Strips and Spring Onion

Sirloin strips and spring onion: You can make this dish in no time and it’s oh-so delicious! Just slice the sirloin into thin strips and stir-fry them with spring onion and some seasoning. Of course, you can add any other vegetable you like sliced into strips such as pepper, onion, cabbage, etc.

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons coconut oil

500g thin sirloin steak slices, cut into strips

4 cloves of garlic, crushed

4-5 spring onions, sliced into medium strips

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

2-3 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons gluten-free coconut aminos sauce

1 tablespoon gluten-free fish sauce

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon ground chili

Instructions:

  1. Heat a frying pan on medium-high heat. Add 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil. When the oil is hot, place the sirloin strips in the pan. (Depending on the size of your pan, you may need to fry the meat in two batches. Try not to overcrowd the pan, keeping the meat in one layer). Fry the strips for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until browned.
  1. Transfer the fried sirloin into a bowl and set aside. Heat another tablespoon of olive oil in the pan and fry off the garlic, ginger and chili for one minute.
  1. Add the aminos sauce, fish sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil and water to the pan and stir well. Bring the sauce to a boil and then lower the heat. Add the sirloin strips to the sauce, stir and cook in the pan for another 3 minutes.
  1. Sprinkle the spring onion on top, then remove from the heat. Serve and enjoy your meal!
